Trenchless Technologies
In 1995, "Raicommerce Construction" PLC, in search of innovative solutions, used trenchless pipeline installation for the first time in the country, utilizing horizontal directional drilling machines. By implementing this new, economically advantageous method with minimal impact on public life and the environment, the foundation was laid for the creation and development of a new division for the company – "Trenchless Technologies." The construction of pipelines, water supply lines, and communication collectors through trenchless drilling is a modern technology that quickly displaces old practices worldwide and becomes the preferred (and often the only) method for laying new pipelines. Eleven years after the first application of Trenchless Technologies, and once again for the first time in Bulgaria, Raicommerce introduced the most precise of trenchless technologies – microtunneling.
The Trenchless Technologies method is economically advantageous and has an extremely minimal impact on public life. It eliminates inconveniences for residents, shortens project execution times, and reduces the frequency of water shutdowns in the reconstructed area. The absence of disruptions to public transport schedules, excessive traffic congestion due to road closures, and the prevention of intensive movement of excavation and transportation equipment, along with the blockage of streets and entrances, ensure free movement for citizens in the reconstruction zone. These are just a few of the numerous advantages of the new technologies introduced by Raicommerce Construction PLC. In addition to all the social benefits, this method of work has a strong positive effect on the environment. Due to the lack of typical damage to existing pavement and the absence of excavation and transportation activities, fewer construction wastes are generated. Additionally, transportation and restoration activities are limited, which leads to a significant reduction in greenhouse gas and CO2emissions, thereby maintaining the ecological balance in the construction area. Successfully navigating virtually all soil conditions and various obstacles, Trenchless Technologies are effectively applied in construction through parks, permanent plantations, and even under rivers, without destroying ecosystems.
