Laying Cold Asphalt in Burgas

On May 20 and 21, a technical demonstration for laying cold asphalt branded “Ratec” was held in Burgas. The quality characteristics of the product were presented during a leak detection competition and a training seminar on "Reducing Non-Revenue Water," organized by the Bulgarian Water Association.

The event was attended by managers, employees, and technical teams of water supply and sewerage companies, as well as business representatives, academics, and experts. They were very interested in learning about the cold asphalt laying technology, which they had the opportunity to see firsthand during the demonstration. The demonstration began with surface preparation and the pouring of the asphalt mix. Compaction was carried out using a small vibratory roller. The activities were completed in an extremely short time, and after the application of the asphalt, the surface was ready for use.

"Ratec" cold asphalt is suitable for repairing roads, paths, and parking lots. It can be used both for filling potholes and cracks and for laying a complete road surface. One of its biggest advantages is that it offers the same operational warranty as a traditional hot asphalt mix. Additionally, it can be applied in any weather conditions and temperatures ranging from -29°C to +49°C.
